Forum: Focus on partnership

In response to enthusiastic feedback from last years’ popular and successful forums, the Victorian Primary & Community Health Network has planned a further series of three lunch time leadership forums. The venue for all forums is Hilton on the Park, 192 Wellington Parade, East Melbourne, a short walk or tram ride from the CBD, with car parking on site.

Health service managers are encouraged to register as soon as possible.

Registration fees

Including GST, presentation, lunch and refreshments

$75 for each forum (or $195 for all three) for services located in the metropolitan area
$70 for each forum (or $180 for all three) for services located outside of the metropolitan area (if the telephone number of your organisation starts with “5” you are considered to be outside the metropolitan area).

The ABC's of Gambling Counselling
In Australia, problem gambling is more common than stroke and coronary heart disease, yet only about 10% of people with a gambling problem seek formal help.

Gambler's Help Southern is pleased to offer counsellors, social workers, outreach workers, psychologists, case managers, GPs, nurses and other allied health professionals a training opportunity to increase their knowledge and skills to work with clients whose lives are adversely affected by problem gambling.

This one day introductory workshop will suit those professionals who wish to become more confident in assessing
and applying a therapeutic framework to support their clients.
Handouts will be given on the day.

There will also be a number of presentations in the Specialist Speaker Series ans well as workshops on Lifestyle and Leisure.
